Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PinAds Lab ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects information in connection with our Pinterest advertising management application (the "Application") and the website at pinadslab.com.
1. Who we are
PinAds Lab is a performance marketing practice based in Bangladesh. We manage Pinterest advertising campaigns on behalf of e-commerce clients who engage our services. The Application is an internal operations tool used by our own team to manage the Pinterest accounts our clients have authorised us to access.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is required to operate the Application. Specifically:
- Account identifiers. The name, Pinterest user ID and business account identifiers of Pinterest accounts connected to the Application by their owner.
- Authorisation tokens. OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens issued by Pinterest when an account owner authorises the Application.
- Advertising data. Campaign, ad group, ad, audience and catalog data, and the associated performance metrics — spend, impressions, clicks, conversions and return on ad spend — for the ad accounts we manage.
- Content data. Pins and boards created or scheduled through the Application on behalf of an authorising account.
- Conversion events. Where a client engages us for conversion tracking, event data sent from that client's own e-commerce store to Pinterest.
We do not collect Pinterest passwords. Authentication is performed entirely by Pinterest through the OAuth 2.0 authorisation flow, and credentials are never entered into, transmitted through, or stored by the Application.
3. How we use information
Information obtained through the Pinterest API is used solely to:
- compile advertising performance reports delivered to the client who owns the account;
- create, review and adjust campaigns, ad groups and ads on that client's behalf;
- publish and schedule organic Pins and boards where the client has authorised this;
- maintain product catalog feeds and conversion event tracking for that client.
We do not use Pinterest data for any purpose other than delivering services to the client who granted access.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, license or otherwise make Pinterest data available to third parties.
- We do not use Pinterest data to build advertising profiles or audience products for resale.
- We do not combine one client's Pinterest data with another's.
- We do not use Pinterest data to train machine learning models.
- We do not attempt to identify individual Pinterest users from aggregated advertising metrics.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We disclose information only to the client who owns the relevant Pinterest account, to service providers who host or process data strictly on our instructions under contract, and where we are legally required to do so. Any such disclosure is limited to what is necessary.
6. Storage, retention and deletion
Authorisation tokens are stored encrypted at rest and are used only to make authorised API requests. Advertising performance data is retained only for as long as needed to produce and archive the reports a client has engaged us to deliver.
An account owner may revoke the Application's access at any time from their Pinterest account settings. On revocation we cease all API access for that account and delete the associated tokens. A client may request deletion of their data at any time by writing to hello@pinadslab.com; we will delete it within 30 days, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.
7. Security
Access to the Application is restricted to authenticated members of our team. Tokens and client data are encrypted in transit over TLS and at rest. Access is granted on a least-privilege basis and reviewed periodically. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@pinadslab.com.
9. International transfers
We operate from Bangladesh and our service providers may process data in other jurisdictions. Where data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard described in this policy.
10. Children
The Application is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in their jurisdiction.
11. Compliance with Pinterest requirements
Our use of information received from the Pinterest API adheres to the Pinterest Developer Guidelines, the Pinterest Advertising Services Agreement and the Pinterest Privacy Policy, including their restrictions on the storage, use and onward transfer of Pinterest data.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to affected clients directly.
13. Contact
